Less Than 3 Wood Craft

With all the wild storms yesterday, it is GREAT to see the sunshine and bright green grass today ( especially the entire front of my yard that was underwater twice yesterday). Several wood projects in production today, both inside and outside, most of which should be finished tomorrow.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather, and this time of year in general. Lots of graduations, and test taking, looking for summer work, and plans for vacations, or starting completely over. This can be an exciting time of year/life, but it can also be overwhelming.

I pray that everyone can enjoy God's blessings, in whatever form they take - including perseverance, survival, and carrying on. Be mindful in our celebrations that there are some around us going through hard situations (like we all do, from time to time). Offer help when you can, encourage those nearby, and lift them up as best you can. Sometimes, being a great friend is just being present.

Congratulations to those who are graduating, moving up, or sallying forth to careers and other opportunities. May all the adventures life leads you through, always lead you to Him who created you.

Burned a lot of scraps yesterday.
"Bad" wood in the chimney, and the other in the fire pit.
Ended with a wiener roast and a few smores with the family.

It was a really good day.

Switching stock out every 7 minutes and 42 seconds. Slave to the bell, again.

Weather has turned awesome!

I spent a considerable amount of time outside building stuff. I plan to do more of the same tomorrow.

This was yesterday's project - flight boards for a 'cocoa tasting' social happening at our church next week. These are being painted black, and clear coated.

Working on some home projects yesterday and today, and finishing up a few plaques. I built a canned food organizer (2nd one - I guess we use a lot of cans), and cut some pieces for a box, which will go under a separate drawered unit, raising it up to make it more 'user friendly'.

I am trying to get my wood shop cleared out. I have a lot of scrap wood that needs to be used, or gotten rid of (aka - bon fire). I have ideas for a lot of it, and if my schedule and the weather will cooperate, I'll make a lot of progress this next week. I do a lot of wood working on my front porch, mostly because I like sitting in my porch swing, and I like the sunshine and breeze. But if I had my wood shop organized better, and more cleared out, I could work inside when it gets cold, windy, and/or rainy. Goals... :)

I will post photos of some of the projects I'm working on, as they get closer to completion.

Spring is teasing us right now - the grass is greening up, the flowers are peaking out from under last fall's cluttered leaves, birds are chirping and flying around, a lot, and temperatures are really up there some days - only to plummet a few days later....ugh.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend, and looking forward to being productive again next week. Don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight (or you'll be late to church). :)

Happy New Year to ALL!
I hope everyone is having a great 2026 so far. The winter lull is being met with a flurry of activity, cleaning work spaces and decluttering. Not so much fun, but productive.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Thank you for making this such a successful year! While I love working with wood, building and working on various projects, it is the people I get to meet that make all the difference, and make it all worthwhile. I pray God will bless each of us with His presence this Holiday season, and prepare us for a great new year ahead.

May you all be at peace, with loved ones at hand.
