Today is National Potato Day! 🥔

We suggest celebrating by eating a bag of potatoes. Preferably sliced up, kettle cooked in lard, salted, and packed in a bag that says Gold’N Krisp. 😉

If you're in the Avon Lake area, don't miss out on Sam’s Supper Club. So many delicious options, and they have our chips!

🥪 We finally made it to Sam’s Supper Club in Avon Lake, and Buzz Nation, you were right to keep bugging us. The sign out front tells you everything: "I assure you, we are a sandwich shop."

Rookie error on our part. We rolled in at 3:15 and the warm options were already gone. No complaints here. When a sandwich shop sells out, that's not a red flag, that's a sign of success.

Tony got The Rajai (house beef, fried onion, giardiniera, caramelized onion dip, focaccia). Jodie grabbed the Diamond Lil's, turkey with bacon jam and heirloom tomato. Get the chips and dip too, then carry the whole haul up to Miller Park.

Go early. And trust the sign out front: "I assure you, we are a sandwich shop."

We need your help settling a debate‼️

On our last cook day of the week, we don't stop at a set time. We stop when the potatoes are gone. So the finish time moves around every single week depending on how many spuds we have and what variety they are. So last week we ran a little contest, “Guess the time the gate closes on the last load out of the cooker.”
Closest guess *without going over* wins $20. Everybody privately cast their vote, and we waited.

Person A guessed 3:45
Person B guessed 4:00
The gate closed at 3:59
