My first needlepoint canvas is completely stitched. Not perfect but I learned a lot! The next one will be better now that I've made some newbie mistakes.

I've been trying to limit my screen time and decided to give needlepointing a try. I'm obsessed, and going all in🤦‍♀️. It's incredibly relaxing. Stay tuned for more updates and some crazy ideas I'm cooking up.

Because I need a new hobby that's way more expensive than I expected and that's going to push my eyesight and frozen fingers to the test over the next few days. I just decided needlepoint is my latest obsession and screen diversion. Of course I already have a mental plan of how I'll take this canvass to the next level once she's stitched. Hint: it's going to require my embroidery machine and 🦋🦋. Stay tuned. I'll need a few more snowy weekends for this one.

I’m a lifelong lover of color—give me a box of crayons, a bold textile, or a room full of eclectic hues and I’m home.

So imagine my surprise when Pantone declared the Color of the Year… a shade of white.
White! 😳 Cloud Dancer if we want to be exact, but still white. As in: the absence-of-all-the-fun-stuff white.

For Color of the Year.
Bold choice, Pantone. Bold choice.

I’m choosing to see it as a blank canvas—a chance to splash, sprinkle, and scribble color wherever possible.

If color is joy, consider this my permission slip to color outside the lines and paint 2026 with abandon.

I love how these doors came out. In a new build it can be really fun to incorporate reclaimed/vintage elements to add some character. This type of glass was typically used in old factory windows and commercial buildings and is now being used on the doors to this home office. The pebbled finish lets the light through while providing privacy. Big shout out to .warehouse in Scranton PA who custom cut this, packed it up and shipped it out. 🚪🚪🏭📦
