For half a century, Wayne's Ski and Cycle has been more than a local business — it has been a testament to the spirit of outdoor recreation, entrepreneurship, and community in and North Iowa.
It started with Wayne Blaisdell, whose vision and hard work laid the foundation for a business that has served generations of outdoor enthusiasts. Today, Matt Curtis and the Wayne’s team continue that legacy while helping shape an exciting future for outdoor recreation in our community.
Matt’s impact extends far beyond the walls of Wayne’s. As President of the Visit Mason City Board of Directors, he brings the same vision, energy, and commitment to community that define his leadership in business. He is a visionary, a servant leader, and a tireless champion for Mason City and North Iowa.
His passion for outdoor recreation and ability to bring people together around big ideas have been instrumental in transforming projects like Prairie Rock Trails and the PRT Bike Park into incredible community assets — creating opportunities for residents, attracting visitors, and positioning Mason City as a growing destination for outdoor adventure.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Matt’s leadership at Visit Mason City and his deep investment in making Mason City a better place to live, visit, explore, and call home.
