Job Title: Pool & Hot Tub Technician (Seasonal)

Location: Mashpee, MA (Cape Cod)

Company: A family-owned business with over 20 years of experience in pool and hot tub care.

Position Type: Seasonal (April – October, or until the employee returns to school)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Pool & Hot Tub Technician. As part of our small, family-owned business, you’ll have the opportunity to learn valuable skills in pool and hot tub maintenance while working outdoors in the beautiful Cape Cod area. This seasonal position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a growing field.

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain pools and hot tubs for residential clients.
Assist with seasonal pool and hot tub openings and closings.
Perform basic maintenance tasks and water testing.
Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure quality service.
Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor with clients.
Qualifications:

No prior experience required – we are happy to train the right candidate.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be available from April to October or until the start of the school year (if applicable).
Compensation:

Starting pay: $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience.

The chief responsibility of a Pool Technician is to clean and maintain customers'
pools and hot tubs throughout the summer. They will ensure that the surfaces are clean, that the
water’s chemicals are balanced and safe, and assist with the technical aspects of the hardware
concerning hot tubs and pools customer-driven organization. An ideal candidate will have
experience in customer service roles. They will be required to work independently and as a part
of a team. Experience working with water chemistry is preferred. This position is primarily
seasonal with full-time opportunities ranging from April to November, with the option to continue
in the winter and potential year-round employment. The position allows for growth in a
competitive industry on Cape Cod and the Islands. Experience is not required but preferred.
Paid, on-the-job training will be provided for highly motivated individuals. Must have a
valid driver’s license, possess a good driving record, and have the ability to pass a
background check.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Use a variety of equipment to vacuum, skim and clean the water and surfaces of
swimming pools and hot tubs.
● Reports any concerns about leaks, cracks, corrosion, etc to the owner of the company.
Make sure equipment like covers, cleaning equipment, and other pool accessories are in
working order.
● Have high-quality customer service skills, ensuring that the customer’s area is left
undisturbed and cleaned after service.
● Operate vehicles to transport various types of materials (including hazardous chemicals)
and equipment in a company vehicle.
● Carrying out scheduled water cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration units.
● Maintain the proper chemical balance to ensure good water quality. (Alkalinity, Hardness,
pH, Chlorine values)
● Ability to lift at least 50 lbs for equipment and materials associated with the tasks
assigned.
