To say that we lacked water this year for irrigation is a HUGE understatement. We have two irrigation reservoirs on the place that is 90% filled by snowpack.

We are starting on some irrigation projects, seeding drought resistant grasses preparing for lack of water again.

But still hopeful that we will have some sort of snowpack this year.

I always worry that we don’t have enough bulls, minerals not up to par and the million other things that can go wrong to where your herd is not bred up
BUT once again, we are 96% bred with 90% in the ideal window

Yeah, we’re a cattle ranch first a meat business second. We’re pretty proud of these hard working ladies, they deserve a lot of recognition.
Wouldn’t you want to know how and where the product you’re buying is raised?
Nothing on this account will ever be content creator worthy, we won’t be doing any dances and there will never be AI
BUT you will get 100% honesty, quality product and pictures of the cows, dogs, pigs, feral hens along with whatever else floats my boat that day🤠

I love this tree
It always signaled the end of the day; the end of the ride.
A place for the horses and dogs to drink.
She burned in The Soda Fire of 2015, has held together until this fall.
Now she returns.

This fall has been a busy one!
We gathered, weaned, preg checked, moved cows, hauled lots of water, sold the extra calves, herded chickens, participated in a few markets, sold lots of pasture Beef, Pork, and Chicken and loved most of the minutes🤠
Anyway, we will be slingin’ the goods Saturdays at the few remaining Boise Farmers Market

We are having to haul water to the cattle in one of the fields. We typically don’t need to, but obviously extreme drought means less water.
It is so time-consuming and pulls us away from other tasks that need to be done.
But the most disheartening thing about it is when I see some AI slop picture on Instagram or Facebook or profiles I wonder why? Why are we using up our water resources on that?
Everyone knows it’s AI.
It’s not original art
There’s absolutely nothing unique about it
Can we just stop?
Find a local artist, I would bet they would love your patronage.
Create something
Take a picture

Anyway, that’s my rant for the night
