We’re thrilled to share the latest update on JCC’s Infant Care Centre (ICC) building project in Sierra Leone! Foundations are set, and the steel reinforcements are in place—ready for the next phase of construction. Even as the rainy season is underway, our dedicated team is seizing every dry moment to keep the work moving forward.

Soon, these walls will shelter and protect the tiniest members of our JCC family.

Meet Satu Abu, who has recently started school at the local United Methodist School! 📚✨ Like many children in Sierra Leone, starting school isn’t just about getting uniforms and books—it also means bringing your own chair to class. 🪑✅

Here she is, proudly holding her new chair, ready to learn and embrace this exciting new journey! This may seem unusual to some, but in Sierra Leone, it’s completely normal for students to provide their own seating in certain schools. Despite the challenges, children like Satu remain eager and determined to receive an education.

We are so happy for her and can’t wait to see all that she will achieve! 💛🎓 Let’s celebrate Satu and all the children working hard for their future!
