Description of the herb:
The oak is one of the most sacred trees of the Old Religion, and favored by the Druids. The oak genus are large, hardwood trees, which are widespread in the northern hemisphere. There are about 450 species. The oak is easily recognized by their distinctive fruit, the acorn.

Ritual uses: Oak was the traditional wood for the Yule Log and is also burned in Midsummer bale fires.
Other Magickal Uses: The wood is often used in the making of magickal tools. Burn the leaves for purification. Hang a sprig in the home to ward off negativity and strengthen family unity. Pieces of oak can be used in amulets for fertility.
Carry a piece of oak &/or it's acorn for wisdom, strength, and good luck.
