Businesses on Northshore:

The recent historic cold weather starting on January 20, 2025, has had a significant economic impact across our state. In response, the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is exploring the possibility of requesting federal assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA).

This assistance could include disaster loans for businesses adversely affected by the weather. To help assess the extent of the damages, GOHSEP is asking businesses to complete the Economic Injury Worksheet Survey and return it by January 24, 2025, if possible.
