The End of a Decade of Fun...

It is with much sadness that we must announce BIY will be closing its doors for good on or before February 13, 2022.

We're sure you've heard it all before--the state of the world has been destroying small businesses, and we've done everything we can to keep BIY going. As one of the last brick and mortar homebrew shops in Iowa, this is particularly hard to deal with. We can sadly no longer sustain the losses in keeping the shop open.

I want to thank all of our awesome BIY homebrewers for literally a decade of homebrewing fun. We got our lease in Marion on March 1 of 2012--so we have literally made it just weeks shy of an entire decade, which is pretty cool to say. We're going to miss you all VERY much, and hope that you still get to brew up some of the best damn batches we've gotten the opportunity to taste.

Over the next couple of weeks, our shop manager Matt will be updating social media with store items and inventory needing to move out the door. Please give the shop a call at 319-373-2337 with any questions you may have.
