When a foot plants a regular cleat into the ground, the
athlete's muscles are driving force into the ground while the ground presents an opposing force pressing up towards the cleat points and through the athlete's foot. When a player is hit or given certain weather/field conditions the athlete must PULL the cleat from the ground or they will experience a type of cleat-lock where the cleat points cannot disengage from the ground. This can result in injuries such as MCL and ACL tears. The patented design of the React Flex cleat will allow the cleat points to press into the ground for retained traction, but will not send all of the foot's driving force into the ground. Once the athlete's muscles release pressure from the foot-to-ground force, the special weather-performance foam design will expand and assist in removing/lifting the cleat point from the ground, limiting cleat-lock. What are the results? Through expansive testing in various weather/turf conditions, football drills, and age ranges of athletes we have reports that the experience with the React Flex cleat shows overall increased traction, cutting power, and comfort. Given a choice between a pair of cleats (exactly the same except for one pair being fitted with the React Flex design) every athlete chose the React Flex innovation.
