Superman Man of Tomorrow (2020)

It is the newest addition to DC's well appreciated animated contents.Although a Superman orgin movie director took the liberty of starting the story just where Kal El joins daily planet as an intern.He does goes out to do some savings now and then but things really change when main man comes into play.
With a lot of DC's amazing characters like martian manhunter,lobo and parasite appearing in the movie it felt a bit crowded for a fresh start.The movie is good,entertaining and gripping.But it don't have anything new to offer the general audience or fans.The story is not so different from many stories we have come across.
When it comes to characters and voice cast Criss did shine as a inexperienced Clark and the movie is all about discovering his powers and weaknesses whether it comes to physical or mental state.Quinto's Luthor and Amadi's Martian Manhunter did standout in the voice cast.Both sounded more rigid than their previous versions.I was disappointed Daddario's version of Lois.I felt it lacked soul,she sounded tired whole the Lois I know is always energetic.
But considering the drop in supe related contents nowadays and as start of probably a new animated universe this movie a boon for the fans of blue boy scout.Inshort it's a a slightly predictable but strong start.

But it’s not the clan’s crime - fighting skills that set it apart from television’s crowded field of onscreen avengers.

Netflix’s highly entertaining adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s comic book series continues to mine the Hargreeves’ family dysfunction in Season 02, ratcheting up their sibling rivalry to mushroom - cloud, apocalyptic levels.
Wizened Number Five (Aidan Gallagher) gets the best lines. The time - traveling assassin may look like a schoolboy but he’s actually a man in his 50s who made a couple of critical errors when jumping decades. He is pretty darn cool from the previous season, Aidan amazes me every time when he is shown on screen. He is actually very mature in his acting skills than his age, Dude the Irony XD.

All told, the quirky sensibility, riveting soundtrack (chills guaranteed), excellent action and familial heart beat ensure that Season 2 lives up to the hype. The Umbrella Academy is what you get when you mix Wes Anderson with Matthew Vaughn, stuff them full of Red Bull and Adderall, and give them a Spotify Premium subscription. Yes, that’s a compliment!

Charles soule and Scott Snyder,both would be a familiar name for any comic reader out there.Hype was up when it was announced they would join hands for a comic series for image comics.
As reader i was very interested in knowing what they would be bringing us.But knowing their style I bid my time for them to finish their first arc,What to say?It was freaking worth it.
The story is taking place in 2060s when US has been closed from outside world for more than 30 years and world is effected by sky virus plague.Thats when they receive a message from US inviting them in to the country for acquiring a cure they devised.A small group of representatives is going into the country for the mission.
This is the plot without spoiling any of the twisted adventure that lies ahead of you.As of now seven issues have been released and all the seven are pretty, pretty great.The comic is even nominated for this year's Eisner's.The Mystery and Bizzarness of the comic is the highlight.Camuncoli and Grassie has done an excellent job getting them into those beautiful panels.The story discusses importance of US in Global sphere,the rich history of the country and lot more.Main characters are a bit of a template that's the only negative i saw.Yet again we're only at issue #7.So let's see....

Dispatches From Elsewhere is a new AMC show created by and starring actor Jason Segel. Each hour-long episode of Dispatches From Elsewhere will follow the story of four characters who struggle to find what’s missing in their lives. United by chance, these misfits will try to solve a puzzle that has been hidden in plain sight by a secret agency.

One of Dispatches From Elsewhere's biggest flaws so far this season might have also been one of its best features—the question of what is real and what isn’t. While “Lee” doesn’t clear up the confusion on every possible score, it does prove that the people behind this show have been paying more attention to these plot holes than we might have expected.
For one thing, goodbye Peter, that soft sweet goofball, and hello Jason—yes, actual Jason Segel, literally playing himself, and not shying away from some real life details, including his addiction issues and poor career choices.
I'm sure it will give you a unique experience just like Dirk Gentlys holistic detective agency did.

HBO Asia’s new ICE thriller, set at a remote polar research station in the dark of winter, “The Head” follows a group of British, Danish, American, Irish, Japanese and Spanish scientists thrust into a snow-swept whodunit, and ratchets up the tension thanks to the station’s claustrophobic interiors and the endless Antarctic night. On paper, it should all come together, what with an international cast of players from The Crown, Killing Eve and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

It's spine chilling on how they intend to tell story, it's the journey that makes that makes this special! With HBO producing it, we all know how will it turn out ❤️. Untill the very end the show never looses it grip, that's one pretty darn ride.

And Then I Go (2017)

A disturbing drama of teen disaffection, Vincent Grashaw’s feature provides an essential and insightful perspective that will resonate with audiences attuned to the challenges of adolescence. Edwin (Arman Darbo), a young high-school student, is having a bad day. The problem is that his day hasn’t really started yet, and it’s not just today, every day is a bad day. He battles the halls of high school, part of an army of two, himself and his best friend Flake (Sawyer Barth). Their lives are filled with confrontations from not only upperclassmen, but their status is so low that even middle school students have no trouble standing up to them. To make matters worse, Edwin can’t sleep, only finding solace in his artwork, his friendship with Flake and his undying love for his adorable little brother, Gus (Kannon Hicks).

It’s not a pretty world that Vincent Grashaw’s film brings us into. And Then I Go is shown through the eyes of a child, not the parent’s perspective. Edwin is a teen that is so defeated by life, his only choice is to stick with his one and only friend, even if though consequences are dire. And Then I Go is an agonizing and disturbing journey to a conclusion that we keep hoping won’t happen but we have to ultimately concede that Edwin’s fate was long ago decided for him.
P.S Arman Darbo has a bright future ahead!
Heads up : It would not be a good watch for people with anxiety.

Actors always have that one movie the movie that changed their fate or destiny,one which after they acquire a certain stardom.For Mollywood's own superstar Mohanlal that was this movie,Rajavinte Makan and today marks 34th anniversary since it's release.
A typical gangster drama the movie narrates the story of nancy a lawyer who comes into contact with a manipulator and underworld prince Vincent Gomas.The movie although with a plot line often seen had an unusual presentation and making considering the era.It was both critically and financial success.
'Rajavinte Makan' became a culture phenomen among keralalites.Dialogues like "My phone number is 2255" is often used among conservation and in movies as a reference to the phenomenal movie.Those who yet to see this should give it a try.

Scoob! (2020)

I’m going to be upfront: I’m, like, a total Scooby-head. Scoob! is an ambitious film. Essentially a vehicle to kick-start the Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe, it features characters from no less than four different Hanna-Barbera properties (and if you think that’s a lot, just wait for all the teases shown in the end credits). Because of this, there’s a lot going on in Scoob!, and one can’t help but wonder what the film could have been had the creators simply stuck to the tried-and-true formula of those classic Scooby-Doo cartoons.

Look, I get it. Warner Bros. wants to make more movies out of a bunch of these old IPs, but the only one with enough brand recognition is Scooby-Doo (it is the only one that’s still churning out new shows 50+ years after its inception, after all). So it falls on Scoob! to introduce the lesser-known properties to new audiences. Scoob! isn’t a bad movie. In fact, it’s quite delightful! That it manages to cram as much as it does into its all-too-brief length and still make sense is a testament to the film and its creators. The animation is bright and bubbly (the action sequences are utterly fantastic), the central mystery is compelling and no scene overstays its welcome. To top things off, it’s funny, and delightful. Them glorious references like Harry parry, Casey’s creation was shaggy (his entry on the rainbow color thing )
Minions, three headed dragon meme(Cerberus), Hex girls poster, captain caveman, Journey to the middle of the earth, Flintstones (slag Hopple), Judge Judy, the marvel dig, Supernatural etc etc etc. This is a perfect Hannah Barbara cartoon tribute.

20 years ago, the brains behind the critically acclaimed Usual Suspects brought an aspect of superhero genre that we ve never experienced before to the big screen . A group of people ostracised by the society due to the presence of a mutant gene . The humans affected by the gene exhibit extra ordinary powers. Even in times of oppression they manage to stay together to create a team to put their super powers for the benefit of humanity. They are the X-Men

The film introduces the famous Marvel comic book team of Xmen to the general audience . It starts with Eric Lehnsher (Mageneto)escaping an Aushchwitz prison camp during the holocaust. Back in present day the mutant registration act is passed. What follows is the conflict that arises between Charles Xavier 's peacful Xmen and Magento's radical Brotherhood Of Mutants due to their differences regarding the methodology of protest against the humans for distrusting the mutants.

The unprecedented plot and setting of the film gave an invigorating and enthralling feel. It blended the social stigmas prevalent in our world with the superhero genre beautifully. Additionally it succeeded in pleasing both the traditional fans of the franchise as well as the audience who were acquainted with them through the aforementioned movie. From then it kicked off one of the most exciting and triumphant franchises of all time and gave many talents the big break in Hollywood.

A year has passed since Super 30 has hit the silver screens.Yet the movie is harshly underrated.
Narrating the story of Anand Kumar a mathematic genius the movie explores the class discrimination and how educating younger generation is considered as a commodity rather than our duty to pass it on.In the story after a series of events our protagonist Anand tries to empower children from different classes to pass the entrance exam for IIT and introduces them to a new way of learning.
The main plus point for the movie is the unwavering performance by Hrithik Roshan.Everyone has seen is peak presentation when it comes to dance and action scenes in movies but what he has done in super 30 is extremely something else.
Inshort Super 30 is a eye-opener which delivers the message the director intended to pass to the general audience.Its a beautiful social drama.

Palm Springs (2020)

Life proceeds normally enough, but its rhythms are unchanged; the monotony is comical and then unbearable. It’s not hard to view all art through the focus of the pandemic right now, but in Palm Springs, the subtext is practically text: We are all trapped.

That may sound terrifying, but what’s most impressive about the movie (out today on Hulu) is how charming and genuinely funny it is. It keeps all the beats of a salty-sweet romantic comedy without ignoring the crushing implications of having to wake up to the same morning over and over again. Where other time-loop movies (Groundhog Day, Edge Of Tomorrow, Happy Death Day) were about their characters gaining some karmic sense of self-improvement, Palm Springs is about how reality can feel endless, and how being an adult involves cherishing the truth that a lot of things will never change.

Several films in the past have featured a time loop to turn the everyday reality into magical realism. But what differentiates these movies from Palm Springs is the fact that more than one person has been stuck in a time loop without any explanation. No one knows how this magic came into being, whether due to a vengeful or a prankster deity, or due to some sci-fi MacGuffin. VFX was a bit rad in certain portions aside from that this one is the the right pill for the chill

Inheritance (2020)

Simple questions rarely have simple answers. Take the one that’s posed to Lauren Monroe (Lily Collins) upon the death of her father Archer (Patrick Warburton): Are you loyal to your family or justice? Most would probably say both since they have it in their minds that their family is on justice’s side. Director Vaughn Stein and screenwriter Matthew Kennedy do all they can to complicate their film Inheritance‘s central question so that Lauren must actually think about complying. She has too much to lose by not thinking about it regardless of how careful she was building her life outside of Archer’s empire.

Inheritance might have benefited from its third act being a tad subtler, but I get the allure of throwing away nuance for splashy suspense. The other shoe dropping is never in question, but how it falls is definitely a convenient reshaping of an already captivating narrative for shock value. I merely think Pegg and Collins are too good during their tense conversations in the dark to let what follows be anything but over-the-top theatrics. Stein and Kennedy always entertain, but more focus on subtext rather than big twists would have gone a long way.

Gripping if you are intrigued
