Just finished up this gorgeous 1992 Dyno Compe!

The chrome was in excellent shape for it's age so the frame, fork, and handlebars cleaned up easily.

It came with a 1990 Pro Compe decal set already installed, so I decided to keep the 90's vibe with the lavender and white accents.

Found a beautifully polished GT stem to combine with an original (restored) Odyssey Gyro. Finished the brakes off with locking Dia-Compe levers and polished Dia-Compe calipers.

I was able to restore an old school Odyssey seat post clamp, as well as a set of 1980s 48 spoke wheel hubs. The rims had an original black painted center line that exposed beautiful chrome hiding underneath. The wheels were finished off with new stainless steel spokes and white/gumwall Kenda K55 tires.

I added a new GT 3 piece crank set, and a set of rare NOS GT alloy white pedals.

Show or sell? This bike is in excellent condition for it's age. I am undecided on whether to replace the damaged decals and keep it as a show bike, or sell it as is. Let me know your thoughts on this eye candy!

🚔 NEW E-BIKE & SCOOTER RULES COMING TO ILLINOIS 🚔

Marion community, we want to give you plenty of heads-up about a major change to Illinois traffic laws. The state has just passed Senate Bill 3484, which creates strict new rules for e-bikes, e-scooters, and high-powered "e-motos."

These laws take effect on January 1, 2027, giving our community, schools, and riders time to adjust. Here is what you need to know:

🛑 THE SIDEWALK BAN: To protect pedestrians, ALL electric bikes and scooters are now strictly banned from sidewalks.

🏍️ HIGH-SPEED DEVICES (E-Motos): Any device with a motor over 750W or capable of going over 28 mph is no longer a bicycle. It is legally a motor-driven cycle. Riders MUST have a driver’s license/permit, liability insurance, and license plates. They are banned from bike lanes and trails.

🚲 STANDARD E-BIKES:
• You must be at least 15 years old to ride a Class 1 or 2 e-bike.
• You must be at least 16 to ride a Class 3 (up to 28 mph).
• Riders under 18 cannot carry passengers unless they are immediate family.

🛴 E-SCOOTERS & HOVERBOARDS: Riders must be 16+ and stay on roads with speed limits of 35 mph or under.

Enforcement: When this law kicks in, the Marion Police Department will be enforcing it to keep our roads safe. Violations can result in traffic tickets, standard DUI charges for riding intoxicated, and the impoundment of the electric device.

🎶Cruising down the street on my 2-4🎶 ....or something like that.

Just finished up restoration on this 1995 GT Pro Series 24 inch!

The frame, fork, and handlebars were given a bath in oxalic acid to remove the minimal surface rust.

I was able to locate a highly polished GT stem to match the polished aluminum sprocket I previously posted a few weeks ago.

The wheels were thoroughly cleaned, true'd, and wrapped in new gumwall street tires.

A chrome GT 3 piece crank set, new pad set and fresh decals put the cherry on top.

This bike rides as good as it looks!

YIKES! This electric bike tried to fight an automobile and lost! Seeing a fork break inside of the frame neck is a first for me!

After a new fork, headset, and front brake cable, this bike is ready to roll!
