Fog and mist for the first day of sap collection. 10 gallons from 11 trees which is a really good start.

Updated the color scheme on the triangle Santas. I think this one says "Christmas" more than the white coat did. Now available in my Etsy shop.

My first new design for 2024. It starts with a sketch that I cut out to make a template. I cut the profile out on a bandsaw and then do the carving. It is painted with oil and acrylic paint before being wiped with wood stain. I really like how he turned out! He is available in my Etsy shop.

Milling two walnut logs for a neighbor who found them in his pile of firewood logs. He gets some nice lumber for the house he is building and we got some wood for carving and turning.

Taking a break from Santa carving to go with my son to get a Christmas tree.

Skating Santa is mounted on a natural edge English walnut board I cut on the mini sawmill. I spent one whole evening carving the just the little pine trees. Definitely worth the effort. Now available in my Etsy shop.

Made a bench for the mud room. All the pieces were cut on the sawmill out of wood found my property. That's a hemlock seat, an oak stretcher and a spalted ambrosia maple crotch.

I call this one "Chickens Worshipping the Sunrise." The natural edge hickory board was cut on my mini sawmill from a branch I found on my property. It looks great hanging on one of the small branch hooks my son makes. Both are available on the Home Decor page in our Etsy shop.

This small oak bowl has some beautiful swirling burl grain. I haven't been doing many bowls recently and it was great to get back to it with such a nice one. Now available in my Etsy shop

We finally finished the table for the deck. That is spalted ambrosia maple on the top and the base with a cedar pedestal. Next will be some rustic chairs to go with it.
