A True Hero and Guardian of the Forgotten

It is with broken hearts that we share the devastating loss of Chris Arsenault, a beloved figure in the animal rescue community and the founder of the Happy Cat Sanctuary. Chris tragically lost his life in a fire while doing what he always did—protecting the innocent souls he devoted his life to saving. Chris died a hero, trying to save the very animals he lived for. His bravery and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Chris was more than a rescuer—he was a warrior for the voiceless. For years, he poured his heart, soul, and every waking moment into creating a safe haven for cats who had nowhere else to go. The Happy Cat Sanctuary wasn’t just a shelter—it was a home, a promise of safety, and a beacon of love thanks to Chris’s tireless work and dedication.

The rescue world has lost one of its brightest lights. Chris inspired so many with his compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment to his mission. He showed us all what it truly means to give without limits.

To honor his memory and the lives of the beloved cats who were lost in the fire, Pets Love Vets will be holding a Memorial Candlelight Vigil via a Live Facebook Event, date and time will be announced this week. This will be a time for all of us—friends, fellow rescuers, and animal lovers alike—to come together, share memories, grieve, and celebrate the incredible legacy Chris leaves behind.

We invite everyone who has been touched by Chris’s work to join us. Let us stand united in remembrance, in gratitude, and in love for a man who gave everything for those who had nothing.

Chris Arsenault, you were and will always be a hero. You are missed. You are remembered. And your mission lives on in all of us.

Tragic day for cats who have lost their lives In a fire along with our fellow rescue hero Chris Arsenault. Who dedicated his life to helping these cats at the Happy Cat Sanctuary

We ask that everyone says a prayer for Chris and all the kitties that lost their lives.

🚨EMERGENCY RESCUE FUNDRAISER 🚨

baglier a Veteran and dedicated cat rescuer Joe Baglier needs urgent help! A very pregnant, unfixed feral cat was dumped at one of his colonies. He cannot afford the trapping costs, and the volunteer trapper can no longer work for free.

We need to raise at least $100 to cover the cost of trapping and prevent more homeless kittens. Every dollar helps!
