Been a while! I'm posting this to hold myself to it. When I started Isla James Designs 5 years ago I purposely chose "designs" verses "jewelry" because I knew I had many areas of interest that I would likely eventually explore. From the art I did with reclaimed wood with PNPP to floral arrangements and on-I didn't want the name or logo to limited me. When I started with the jewelry line it made sense. My baby was a baby and she'd walk around in a walker and I could design and make away. As the years have progressed, that has been harder and harder to do with the grabby toddler hands and inquiring minds of a young child. So with that being said, Isla James is going to be branching out into a new area of retail. The jewelry isn't leaving, but it will not be the focus for a bit. The five year mark feels like the right time for a shift that works better for Isla James herself and I at this time in our lives!
