FALL IS COMING! That’s the thought that hit me this morning on my way down to open up the greenhouse, typically on the drive down it’s comfortable because air is rushing by. Today it was slightly chilly. I’m so excited, I LOVE fall! The campfires, the beautiful weather, and of course the gorgeous fall decorations that make this time of year seem so perfect! We have an assortment of fall flowers and ornamental peppers, beautiful grasses to fill out that bed or those planters, and of course our beautiful homegrown MUMS! As the season progresses we look forward to carrying straw and pumpkins for all your fall decorating! Comes see us Today!

GOOD MORNING!
What a beautiful day! Compared to the last couple 96 degree plus days this high 80s day feels great. We have been working on getting ready for fall in the greenhouse, with early mums and fall flowers and foliage to give your flower beds or porch a perfect fall look… Our perennial Herb selection is great for adding full time beauty to your beds while also being able to utilize them whether in Teas, tinctures, cooking or just for their amazing smells! I wanted to share a little update with y’all on one of our FAVORITE fall things here at the greenhouse… MUMS! I’m so excited about our mums this season - we have several different tricolor combos, large single color planters, and some extra large mum planters with ornamental grasses in addition to our regular premium mums all growing beautifully here at the greenhouse. With our first flush looking gorgeous 😍 and set to begin blooming around the middle to end of next month, they will be ready before you know it. The weather swings we’ve been having have been a little confusing for our poor mums this summer and it seems some of them are thinking fall is coming already. This means we’re seeing some budding even earlier than usual, so we may have mums even earlier than expected this year! Be sure to keep an eye out on our page here for updates - we will be sure to make an announcement as soon as we have some ready! I mean, can you ever start decorating for fall too early 😉?!

It’s Friday again guys!!!
The weather may be dreary, but these flowers sure aren’t! Swing by the greenhouse to cheer up your day with a little boost of sunshine - in flower form! Gorgeous, fresh picked, mixed bouquets are available today - for only $9 each!

About our flowers…
I just love growing flowers and wanted to try a bunch of different varieties this year in my personal garden - including all of the flowers from our ‘cutting garden collection’ that we sold in the greenhouse this spring. Well the side effect of my trialing is… I’ve been picking buckets of blooms each week, with no signs of stopping soon! So I decided to share a little of our bounty with you, each Friday this summer. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This week is definitely feeling like summer - we are forecast to hit the upper 90’s by the middle of the week! These temps can make it tempting to just hibernate indoors, but today I’m here to share with you…

🫜5 reasons to plant a fall garden/succession plant this summer:

1. Fill in empty garden space after spring crops and get double the return from your garden space.

2. Have veggies ready to harvest when weather is cooling off, instead of during mid-summer heat.

3. Extend your window of being able to enjoy garden fresh veggies.

4. Less pest, disease, and w**d pressure in late summer/fall for growing plants!

5. Cooler growing conditions during ripening for cool season veggies, making for sweeter-tasting harvests.

🥬If you put in the effort to get a fresh round of veggies planted NOW, you will be so thankful you did when you’re enjoying fresh veggies in September and October, long after most spring planted vegetables have given up and called it quits!

Come to the greenhouse for cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, celery, cucumbers, zucchini plants, and more for the fall garden, as well as a fresh stock of herbs and flowers such as marigolds, celosia, ageratum, zinnias, dwarf sunflowers, basil, cilantro, dill, and more. Supply is limited and veggie plants have been moving fast, so don’t wait to come out and get yours!

Happy Friday everyone!!

No produce today… but we DO have some fresh picked garden bouquets for $7 each! The first of the dahlias and sunflowers are starting to bloom, and they are just gorgeous ❤️😍❤️. Come out and treat that special someone (or yourself) with a little blooming sunshine!

We still have fall garden veggie starts, but they are moving fast - so don’t wait to come out if you are wanting some!
