It was a great retreat in Mt Calvery this past weekend. Lots of stitching, "un"stitching, lots of laughs, great meals, two quilt shop stops and little sleep!

Thank you to everyone that joined me for this fun weekend and that helped planned it!

Next year's date is February 18-21, 2027

Already looking forward to another great weekend!

Twas the Night Before a Quilter's Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas
when all through the land,
Only a quilter was stirring with
her patchwork in hand.

The stockings were hung
by the chimney with care,
Only minutes after the last stitches
were lovingly put there.

The children were nestled,
all snug in their beds,
While visions of a homemade Christmas
danced in their heads.

Just at that moment
Santa appeared,
in his hand quilted suit
and fluffy white beard.

He stumbled on pins, needles, and
fabric for sewing.
"With all this clutter I really
must be going!"

And she heard him proclaim
as he drove out of sight,
"Put your projects away,
it's the middle of the night!"

Winter Retreat is approaching fast!

Also just a reminder that if you signed up, you fee of $155 is due by January 5th.

2026 Winter Retreat

Where? Hosta Haven Mt. Calvary, WI.

Dates? Thursday- Sunday, February 19-22, 2026

Cost? $155 per person due by Jan. 5th, 2026

Meals? We will plan for Brunch and Dinner, everyone will plan, buy supplies, and cook one meal in the fully supplied kitchen.

Beds have all needed linens and bath towels are supplied as well.

Your work area will have a comfy rolling chair and banquet table.

After all spots are requested, I'll be making a waiting list in case someone needs to back out for any reason. However, if it's getting close to the date and you need to back out, I will try my best to fill your spot. If I'm not able to, unfortunately, you'll be responsible for that seat.
