TIPS FROM GREGG & ANN - have you ever spilled something and it lands inside the oven door - you know, between the layers of glass, so you can't get at it to clean up the mess? Well, we can help with that. Most oven doors come off - you can bring it to us and Ann will take it apart, clean it and reassemble the door. Good as new! Just call us at 920-686-0077 or stop in at 115 N10th St in Manitowoc. Open 9-5 Mon-Fri.

TIPS FROM GREGG & ANN - GARBAGE DISPOSALS. Garbage disposals are not something we install, replace or service, but they are kitchen appliances and we've got some tips to share on their use. We learned the hard way that somethings don't belong in there - namely the center and green leaves of a cauliflower! Someone (who's name won't be mentioned) jammed ours up one day. Other no-nos are chicken bones (any bones!), fruit pits and grease. Remember to run cold water while your disposal is running. Though we don't service disposals, we can help with your other kitchen appliance repairs! We are located at 115 N10th St in Manitowoc and are open 9-5 Mon-Fri 686-0077. Note: some of the above ideas came from our go-to plumber, Todd, at Veteran's Plumbing. He got us out of the "jam".

TIPS FROM GREGG & ANN - BIG REFRIGERATOR. Your new refrigerator has big bins inside the doors. They say it will hold a gallon of milk. But think again about storing heavy items in those door bins. Too much weight in the door will cause the door to eventually sag and it will not have a proper seal. Air leaking can lead to warmer temps, frost build up and water condensation issues. Worst case scenario - the sagging door can end up not being square, making it difficult or impossible to fix. We are located at 115 N 10th St in Manitowoc and are open 9-5, Mon-Fri. Phone 920-686-0077.

TIPPS FROM GREGG & ANN - REFRIGERATOR CLEANING. When your refrigerator starts looking gross, you empty it out and clean it up. But there is more to clean. Compressor coils need to be vacuumed our regularly; how often depends on how the fridge is situated in your kitchen. Ideally a fridge "stands alone" without being sandwiched between cabinets. If your fridge is blocked in you will need to clean it more often as air is not able to circulate well. Also if you have pets you will need to clean more often. Want to know more? We are located at 115 N10th St in Manitowoc and are open 9-5 Mon-Fri 920-686-0077.

TIPS FROM GREGG & ANN -- Saving money on appliance repairs. We do house calls. Lots of them. But did you know you can bring your sick appliances to us and save some money? The bench charge we have for repairs done in our shop is only $34.95 - that's about 1/2 the charge for coming to your home. For the "Bench Charge" Gregg will diagnose the problem and call you to let you know what it will cost to fix it. If you decide it's not worth fixing we can even arrange to dispose of it for you. We are located at 115 N 10th St, in Manitowoc and are open 9-5 Mon-Fri. Phone 920-686-0077.

TIPS FROM GREGG & ANN - OVEN CLEANING. The instructions on the pizza say to bake it directly on the oven rack. Maybe that makes for a better crust, but it sure makes for a dirty oven! Lining your oven with tin foil is NEVER a good idea as it can block the heat in the oven and it can burn! When cleaning your oven with a commercial spray oven cleaner be sure to wear a mask so you don't breathe in the fumes. Spray it in the evening, immediately close the oven door and clean it out the next morning. Anything that can't be wiped out can be gently scraped away using a single edged razor blade. This will not damage the surface. We are OPEN at this time for any necessary appliance repairs. Located at 115 N 10th St in Manitowoc and are open 9-5 Mon-Fri. 920-686-0077. Stay well - we'll get past this!
