🗝️🌸 Some stories deserve to keep being told.

Awhile back, I submitted my mother’s story and name to a rare disease and cancer awareness campaign through NamesWear in honor of her battle with Waldenström Macroglobulinemia (WM) lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer.

Out of the many names and stories submitted, my mom, Barbara Jean Ward, was chosen to be included in Batch 21 of their Rare Disease/Cancer awareness collection. I recently learned they decided to relist her batch one final time, and honestly, seeing her name continue to live on through awareness, remembrance, and advocacy means more to me than I can properly express.

But this campaign is about more than rare disease and cancer.

It’s about the silent battles people carry every single day. The grief people quietly survive. The mental health struggles hidden behind smiles. The families forever changed by illness, trauma, addiction, loss, su***de, and all the things the world often doesn’t see until it’s too late.

It’s about reminding people they are not alone.

A portion of proceeds from the campaign helps support awareness initiatives connected to rare disease, cancer, su***de prevention, and other silent battles that deserve more compassion, understanding, conversation, and visibility.

My mother was the kind of person who made people feel safe, loved, welcomed, and important. Losing her changed our family forever, but continuing to speak her name and share her story helps keep pieces of her light alive in this world.

🌸 A Moment I’ll Never Forget 🌸

Today, Echoes of Yesterday’s Past received an email that means more than I can truly put into words.

The International Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation reached out after discovering the Wildflower Tribute Seeds included with orders from my shop.

Because of you… those seeds, planted in honor of my mom, have now spread to 24 states and 3 countries. 🌎🌸

Through the QR codes included with each package, donations have been made in her name… quietly, beautifully, and from all across the world.

What started as a small, personal way to honor her has grown into something far beyond what I ever imagined.

I have been invited to:
• Be interviewed for a foundation broadcast
• Be featured on their website, magazine, and newsletter
• Become an official advocate for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia awareness

This isn’t just my story…
This is ours.

Every order placed, every seed planted, every share, every kind word. You have all helped carry her legacy forward.

Echoes of Yesterday’s Past was built on the idea that the past still has a voice…
and today, that voice reached further than I ever thought possible.
And I can promise you this…
this journey is far from over. 🌸

Thank you for supporting my small business… and for being part of something that truly matters.

At Echoes of Yesterday’s Past, every piece carries a story.

Some stories are joyful… and some are born from love and loss.

In memory of my cousin Bobby, a man who loved deeply, protected fiercely, and reminded all of us not to take time with the people we love for granted, I’ve created a special Wildflower Journey Tribute Kit.

This tribute allows something living and beautiful to grow in his honor, wherever these wildflowers are planted.
For the next 6–8 weeks, this memorial tribute will be available through my eBay store. I am personally covering all material costs, handling fees, and absorbing a portion of shipping so participation can simply be about remembrance.

All proceeds from this tribute will be donated directly to Bobby’s GoFundMe until either the tribute period concludes or the GoFundMe comes to an end.

If the GoFundMe closes sooner, proceeds will continue to be donated to the American Heart Association in Bobby’s memory.

✨ Please note: the listing is live now. Wristlet lanyard keychains are expected to arrive Wednesday, and all orders will begin shipping Thursday.

If you would like to plant something in remembrance, support his family, or simply help his legacy continue growing, you can learn more here:

Today I’m sharing something personal as the owner behind this page.
Our family is currently walking through a very serious medical crisis after my cousin, Bobby, suffered a massive heart attack and remains in the ICU.
Many of you have supported my small business for years, and I’ve always believed community means showing up for one another — both in business and in life.
If you feel led to help, share, or simply keep our family in your thoughts, it would mean more than I can express.
❤️ Thank you for always supporting not just my work, but the people behind it.

🌸 The Wildflower Journey Update 🌸
When I first started including wildflower seeds with my orders, it wasn’t a marketing idea or a business strategy.
It was simply a small, quiet way to keep my mom’s memory alive.
Just a handful of seeds.
A little note.
A story carried in an envelope.
I never expected those seeds to travel very far. I certainly never imagined they would begin to spread across the country… and even across the ocean.
Today, the Wildflower Journey has reached 22 states and 3 countries.
From Michigan, where it all began, these tiny seeds have made their way to places I’ve never been, to people I’ve never met, and into gardens that will grow memories I’ll never see—but I know they’re there.
Each heart on these maps represents more than a location.
It represents a moment.
A person who paused long enough to plant something.
A little act of care, remembrance, or hope.
Some of these seeds are planted in honor of loved ones.
Some are planted just because someone wanted a little more beauty in their world.
And some are planted quietly, without a word back—just a silent promise that something good will grow.
What started as a tribute has turned into a living, growing trail of love… one envelope at a time.
To everyone who has received a package, planted a seed, shared a kind message, or simply supported my small business—thank you. You are part of this journey, whether you realized it or not.
And the seeds are still traveling.
Still being planted.
Still growing.

Today is deeply personal for me and my family.
My mom, Barbara Jean Ward, fought Waldenström Macroglobulinemia with everything she had. She fought hard, and we fought just as hard beside her. Her strength, her love of flowers, and her quiet dream of seeing more of the world became the heart behind what is now known as the Wildflower Journey.

But the truth is, this journey has been both healing and heartbreaking.
Because while her story is now reaching people across the country and even around the world, she isn’t here to see it. She’s missed birthdays, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments that should have had her laughter in them.

We miss her every single day.
Her children miss her.
Her grandchildren miss her.
Our whole family feels the space she left behind.
I never wanted her passing to go unnoticed. I never wanted her fight to be in vain. So instead of letting her story end quietly, I chose to plant it. Literally.

The very first seeds in this journey came from her funeral. They were given out as a way to keep her memory alive. Since then, those wildflowers have traveled to homes, gardens, and hearts across many states and even other countries.

Each order helps her story grow a little further.
In honor of her passing anniversary, I’m offering a 4-week tribute:
• Free small Wildflower Journey seed packets
• Just pay shipping & handling
• Available for the next 4 weeks starting today
And for the next four weeks:
**50% of proceeds (until March 14th) from all Wildflower Journey purchases will be donated directly to the International Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF) from my eBay store via "Ebay Charity".

This isn’t just about seeds.
It’s about remembrance.
It’s about awareness.
And it’s about making sure her fight — and the fight of others like her — never goes unnoticed. It's about raising awareness & it's about continuing to donate to a good cause in hopes to one day find a cure. It's about helping other families fight the fight & supporting the families who's loved ones lost the fight.

If you’ve ever lost someone, if you’ve ever watched someone fight, or if you simply believe that love should keep growing… this journey is for you too.
