JUST A REMINDER THAT TOMORROW, SUNDAY DECEMBER 7, WILL BE THE LAST DAY THAT FROG HOLLOW WILL BE OPEN IN 2025.
We're winding down a short, but great season. We've seen lots of old friends and made some new ones.

Many people have asked us what our plans are for the future, and, so far, we know that trees are ordered and we will be planting next spring.
We hope to see you next year, but whatever happens, Frog Hollow will continue.

It looks like the coming weekend, December 5 thru December 7 will be cold, but we will be open.
Please dress warmly, the weatherman is talking about record low temps!

This will be the last weekend for this year's abbreviated season.

In case you are wondering, we are planning to be open today (Sunday, November 30.) We're hoping there is enough snow to be picturesque, but not enough to cause problems driving.

We're ready to go! Opening tomorrow, Friday, November 28th at 9 AM until 4:30 PM (Firm!) and Saturday and Sunday, same hours as long as the weather holds. It's going to be cold, so dress extra warmly because it's cold up there on the hill.
We'll be open again next week, December 5th, 6th and 7th, same hours.
If we have continuous rain or snow, we will close. Slipping around in the cold, carrying a bow saw just isn't a fun - or safe - family memory.
We are only planning on opening those two weekends, but if the weather causes us to close, we may open for another week. If we decide to do that, we'll announce it here.

We'll be opening Friday, November 28, at 9 am. We have a decent selection of Canaan firs and Concolor firs. They have been our most popular trees for a long time.
Canaan fir is a combination of Frazer fir and Balsam fir which grows better in this area than the Frazer. It has good, strong branches and holds its needles well. It has a blue tint on the Underside.
Both types of firs have a nice growth habit, but I only got a picture of the Concolor tree. It's needles are a bit longer than the Canaan and they have the same blueish tint. Concolor has become more and more popular as people discover its citrus fragrance.
While firs have strong branches, their needles are rubbery and not "stabby" even when you are ready to take the tree down!

We will not be allowing tagging this year, but we will be open for choose and cut starting on the Friday following Thanksgiving, 3 days a week (Friday-Sunday) 9 am - 4:30 pm.

We are planning to be open at least Thanksgiving weekend and the first weekend of December. Please check here or call to check weekends following those.
