After 70 years [15 as Manchester Surplus], Farr’s is officially reaching the end of the road. 🚲💛

Many of you already know we’ve been in the process of closing for about a year now — but this is truly the final stretch.

While most of the inventory has already moved, there’s still a handful of discounted new & used bicycle parts, miscellaneous sporting goods, accessories, plus store displays, shelving, and other remaining items available for anyone who can use them.

If Farr’s has been a part of your life, your family, or your cycling journey, we’d love to see you stop by one last time.

Last week, we had the opportunity to work with Better Connecticut and interview with, the lovely, Caitlin Francis!

These past couple years have been a lot to take In. We thank & respect EVERYONE for continuing to support local businesses and doing what it takes to keep our town safe and healthy.

At Farrs, we are so grateful for all of our customers, both new and returning. Your business has kept us going for 66 years and counting!

At least today it does…after a crazy morning of weather coverage, I’m back on Better Connecticut with Scot this afternoon.

To all our valued customers,

An employee at Farrs Sporting Goods has tested positive with COVID over the weekend. In order to keep our customers, and employees safe, our store will remain closed until June 2, 2021.

We understand this may be an inconvenience, but everyones’ health comes first. To make a long story short; quality bicycles have been very hard to come by.

We have been actively checking to order bikes and over the course of a year, we’ve been able to secure a handful.

Children’s bikes are a bit easier to come by and are currently available in-store with more expected in upcoming months.

Adult bikes have been hard to come by and, according to our sales reps, many are no longer available until 2022 (aside from the ones we are sharing with you today - we preordered over a year ago)!

Adult bikes have been our #1 inquiry and we are hoping these images will help you plan accordingly.

Sizes & colors will vary, and these dates are shipping estimates. Please note we are only open Wednesday - Saturday 10am-5pm.

We are not offering lay-away, or preorders. With limited availability, we would like to give anyone the chance to view & purchase in-store.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like spring! We were able to get our hands on some exciting new outdoor products.

Collapsible lanterns, reflective dog leashes, freeze dried foods (some vegetarian options), and Nalgene bottles with splash guards are just of few of many items to keep your spring season adventurous!
