These are mahogany bobbin, alnico 5 custom pickups I made.
The pole pieces are shaped from a steel flat rod, and the coils are wrapped on a winder I made for precision. They are wax potted, the wood is sealed lightly with clearcoat for protection. These pickups are not my “standard” set that have become a stsple for my customers. This particular set was a test to see what I could do in terms of wood working and were made approximately five years ago The middle single coil is strat style six alnico 5 poles.

We have been together only since September and are moving quickly. It’s only a rehearsal, so there are some whoopsa-doodles and happy accidents here and there, but I think for only a little time it’s a pretty good start.
