John Adams told Abigail this country ought to be celebrated with “Pomp and Parade… Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations.”

Now, I’m no historian…

But that sounds a whole lot like cookouts, loud noises, bonfires, and fireworks to me.

So throw on something patriotic, fire up the grill, get the fam-jam together, keep the drinks cold and the fireworks pointed in the right direction.

America’s birthday is coming.
