Our team worked hard over the past two days to get all of our cut flower plugs in order and ready to be transplanted! We are so excited to announce that our cut flower garden in front of the high tunnel is now all planted! Can’t wait to show you the beautiful flowers that will be available for pick your own in the next couple of weeks!!

We have a new employee appreciation program here at Balet Flowers called the Blooming Lupine Award! Anyone who works here can write a postivie excerpt about a coworker who has gone above and beyond here at the farm. Each month those who are nominated will have the chance to be awarded.
Since this was the first month of the program, and becuase it’s been such a busy month for us with everyone working hard, Suzanne decided to award EVERYONEwith a freshly baked, beautifully stamped sourdough loaf of bread made by Homemade by Hiedi . Thank you so much to Heidi for creating and designing these for our well deserving employees!

Gardenscape highlight: Bobby, Carl, Zack, Suzanne, and Kristen were the brains behind this one. They started by spray painting an edge to follow while desodding and creating a whole new bed. Our client now has white blooms all season with the viburnums, rhododendrons, clethra, Annabelle hydrangea, and ferns we planted. These will become a nice accent wall to their wood line as they grow in. The grass they removed for the new bed will be used to re-sod another area on the property, so nothing went to waste🌱

It might be a rainy Mother’s Day weekend but we are still here! We will be at the Saratoga farmers market every Saturday from 9-1💐 where we will have fresh and dried bouquets, as well as a hefty amount of herbs, veggies, perennials, annuals, pottery, succulents, and more! Stop on by, we’d love to see ya🌸

Gardenscape highlight: Yesterday Carl and Maddy spent a couple of hours redesigning and beautifying this space. They started by digging up a clethra and perennial grass the client no longer wanted. Then spent some time digging, dividing, and moving around perennials that were already here, followed by planting some hydrangeas and rose of Sharon’s and finished with papering the space and adding some compost on top to suppress future w**d seeds. Now our client will have plants that bloom from spring all the way until fall!
