Makanda Trading Co. MakandaTrading Co. is located just behind Giant City Park and offers wonderful art and treasures from around the world. We are open!

We have incense, rocks and minerals, fossils and ancient and antique artifacts from many countries. The store is a product of my travels to 50 countries. We have incense, Hindu statues, old coins, fossils singing bowls and more. Come check out what I have brought back to southern illinois this time as things are always changing. Don't forget to stop in while visiting the Carbondale area or Giant City State Park and bring the kids we have all sorts of unique toys.

We are the Hippiest town in Illinois! Come visit and shop for a tye dye, vintage ash tray, incense a magical rock or oracle cards…there are so many great things to see. Or just come and visit the garden behind rainmakers, possibly catch some impromptu music grab a coffee or ice cream, and visit Giant City Park! We have a lot going on in a tiny place. Makanda trading company will be open tomorrow!!! Please come down and do a little shopping. Need some incense, a small rock or just to get out of the house. We need some people to show up it’s been a slow season and we were closed for several days.

Thanks to the great people of Makanda the parking lot is clear and we’re open for business.
