Here we offer many types of burl scales, blocks (solid wood and hybrid resin) as well as micartas other synthetics.

Some of the gnarliest grain I have ever seen in spalted spaghetti oak burl. Just flat our GORGEOUS 😍🤩😍. If you want a set, you better claim them fast. $35 each plus shipping. Can ship multiple sets in one box. Buy all 6 and save $5 a set.

Each set is roughly 5 7/8" x 1 7/8" x 3/8-1/2"
Voids were filled with blue pearlescent alumilite clear slow urethane resin.

Some beautiful maple burl paired with some really nice brown mallee burl. They are trimmed in blue G10 and black carbon fiber with blue g10 liners.

Did some experimenting with colors and wow! Safe to say we are 😍! The yellow didn't actually turn out yellow...more of an amber. We did a triple dye on the maple burl with blue, red, and green... As you can see from thw results though, we certainly don't mind. I think we will add this to the Bladeshow pile.
The Blue burls were an experiment with a new method of dying and WOWZER! It turned out darker, and better than we had planned. Safe to say we will be using that new method from now on.
Now to the cool stuff. I know its not fancy colors or resin, but it is rare.
Quilted and curly Honduran Red Mahogany. This stuff can no longer be imported without specific import (and exports licenses) or else it will be seized at port. So what's here is what's here without having to jump through extreme hoops. We have a limited stock of this so it's a bit more than your average block. I'll have it with me at bladeshow along with some other nice burls and blocks. Look for me (James) walking around...im the ugly one!

Got that slab of Maple burl all processed and stabilized. We have some live edge blocks for folks who want to cast their own handles as well as full blocks. Some have small divots as you can see that can be filled easily with CA glue.

The red blocks were dyed with alumilute dyes and stabilized with SOS 3.0 stabilizing resin from www.shed.life
Once vacuumed down it is then put into a pressure pot and pressurized to 60psi for 8 hours to get maximum penitration of the resins and dyes. As opposed to just letting soak for 3 times longer at atmospheric pressure.

These are available while they last as this was a short run from a new burl supplier. We are thrilled with the quality of this burl and will certainly be getting more. But for now, this is all the maple burl we have in stock. Get it now before it's gone. Once it goes to Blade Show, it doesn't come back haha.
