A Note to Our Customers ❤️
The Madrid General Store has been part of the community since opening on March 11, 2011, and we’re thankful for all the support over the years.
Sharon has been the heart of the store for a long time, serving as our manager and baker and greeting so many of you with a friendly smile. She has meant so much to our store and our community.
Sharon will soon be leaving the General Store as she moves to Wisconsin. While she will be greatly missed, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done and wish her all the best in this next chapter.
Moving forward, Keith Yost, the owner of The Madrid General Store, will be stepping into the role of manager. As we make this transition, you may see some new faces around the store. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as everyone settles into their new roles. The store will continue to operate as usual, and we remain committed to providing the same quality products and friendly customer service you’ve come to expect.
📅 Thursday, January 29th will be Sharon’s last day at the store.
☕🍪 We will be serving coffee and cookies from 1:00–5:00 PM. Please stop in to wish her well and help us thank her for all she has done.

Thanksgiving baking schedule.

We will be baking on Tuesday Nov, 21 and Wednesday Nov 22. We would like you to call in and place your orders by Monday afternoon (Nov 20). Placed orders have priority over grab and go orders. If you don't call and place an order we cannot promise that we will have baked goods on the shelves.

Our Open House will be on Nov 30th and Dec 1st this year. We will be posting more on this soon.

Due to the extreme weather forecasted for Thursday, if you have an order to pick up, you can wait until Friday to cone get it.

Christmas Baking Schedule and Holiday Hours.

Due to the busy baking schedule, we would like all the baked goods orders in by 5 pm on Tues, Dec 20th. Orders will have priority over baked goods on the shelf for sale.

We will be open our normal hours until Friday Dec 23rd, then be closed Saturday Dec 24th thru Wednesday Dec 28th. We will open on Thursday and Friday the 29th and 30th ( there will be no baking on that Thursday). Closed again on Saturday and Monday the 31st and the 2nd. We will resume with normal hours on Tuesday the 3rd.
