A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the incredible staff at Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital–Madison for the kindness, care, and support you showed Robert Pickenpaugh during his recovery. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️

Robert is finally home and continuing his recovery journey. While it will still be quite some time before we reopen, we want everyone to know that we are NOT permanently closing!

As we move forward, we will most likely transition into seasonal gallery openings centered around specific holidays and special events. We’re thankful for all the love, prayers, patience, and encouragement from our wonderful community during this time. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when the time is right.

Happy Mothers Day!
We wanted to thank all of our friends, customers and Pickenpaugh Pottery supporters this Mother’s Day. The outpouring of love and prayers we have received during this time has shown us just how special our community is. We hope all the Mothers out there have a blessed and Happy Mothers Day.

Two Madison originals.

My dad, Robert Pickenpaugh, has been living and working in Madison for 53 years, and Bob Hamil of Mama Hamils Southern Cooking has been serving this community for more than 30. They met when Madison was still a tiny strip of a town — before the chain stores, before the traffic, before everything became fast and mass produced.

What I love about both of them is that they still believe in craftsmanship, relationships, and doing things the right way. The kind of people who know their customers by name, take pride in the details, and built something slowly over decades instead of overnight.

In a world that increasingly values convenience over care, they remind me that longevity, integrity, and community still matter. Madison was shaped by people like this. ❤️

Pickenpaugh Gallery will be open today May 7th from 10-2. Although we are sold out of ceramic flowers we still have some beautiful piece available. We also have some sweet baby flowers that are perfect for teacher gifts. Stop by and take a look. If you cannot come within this timeframe, don’t hesitate to reach out and we can see if we can accommodate your schedule.

A big thanks to everyone who came out today to support us and ask about Robert! As I posted earlier, we are sold out of ceramic flowers, ducks and birds. We will be open tomorrow from 10 to 2. If anyone needs any last-minute small baby flowers. After tomorrow, we will close until further notice.
