Meeting House Nursery School has been doing play-based early childhood education in Madison since 1949 — and they're still going strong.

UW-Madison Department of Medicine seeks participants for a research study to help understand and address how the environment and things that happen early in children’s lives – even before they are born – affect their development, health, and well-being.

Pregnant adults who are fewer than 20 weeks pregnant are eligible to participate. Participants will be reimbursed for their time and participation. Transportation and parking are available. The study will involve several clinic visits, beginning with a prenatal visit.

During the visits, we will collect measurements and biospecimens from you and your child, and ask questions about your pregnancy, environment, and your and your child’s health. The study will last until 2030.

If you’ve ever wondered what the end of the night on Sunday is like: it’s one long line of pipes…

My favorite moment from the week? Seeing a kid walk up to me while I was scanning with my son, who was wearing a shirt my son had had. I mentioned it and his mom said that actually, I had checked them out the day they bought that shirt a few years ago and I told her it was mine - so my son got to see HIS shirt being loved again. 💕💕

Thanks to our super star volunteers, and all who participated! I hope old stuff is purged, new stuff is being loved, and dollars were saved!
