Featured Exhibitors: .paddles & Old Mustache

Just a reminder that these are not paid advertisements, just stuff we want to show to illustrate the breadth of cool stuff you’ll find at the show.

Badger Paddles is a family-owned business out of Ontario, Canada, and makes traditional, solid wood paddles of cherry, black walnut, ash, and sassafras. Badger paddles can take you to beautiful places.

Old Mustache Paddles are made by master carpenter Steve Sikkema. They are extremely different than solid wood paddles in that they’re laminated Steve makes them with a secret technique that produces a hollow shaft, so they’re super light.
There’s always room in a canoe for both.

Featured Speakers: Timothy Bauer and Jared Wold

Both Tim and Jared share a special and intimate bond with Wisconsin Rivers. They are excellent and heart-felt speakers.

Timothy Bauer is a prolific paddler and content provider for MilesPaddled.com, which has documented over 4,209 miles of rivers in the Upper Midwest. He’s the author of Canoeing and Kayaking South Central Wisconsin, and is currently finishing up his next guidebook about the Driftless Area. Timothy has been an annual presenter at Canoecopia and a guest on Wisconsin Public Radio since 2017.

Miles Paddled

is an experienced river paddler and angler who organizes and leads numerous moving water trips for the Mad City Paddlers and Madison Area Outdoor Group each season. He also runs a website that tracks water levels for paddlers to “know before they go.” He’s also a really good guy.

Featured Friends

We allow almost 40 not-for-profit groups to share their messages at Canoecopia. Some are small, some are large; all are important. These are just three for example. There rest can be found here.

Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness
These good folks are fighting to keep the BWCA pristine and protected from a hardrock mine that would certainly damage or destroy the place we love so dearly. Please stop by their booth and support them.

Team River Runner Green Bay is a nationwide non-profit whose mission is to provide all veterans and their families opportunities to find health, healing, community purpose, and new challenges through adventure and adaptive paddle sports.

The organization is run by volunteers in chapters all over the US. There are two chapters in Wisconsin; Green Bay and Milwaukee. We’re grateful they come to Canoecopia.

River Alliance of Wisconsin works statewide to empower people to protect and restore water. Through leadership, lobbying and local group support, we work to protect Wisconsin’s clean drinking water and recreational resources.
