Havenites! Heard of Dungeon Crawler Carl but wondered what the fuss was all about? Or maybe you're already a fan? Either way, Thursday night's show should be a fun one - Alan has been reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl books for a little bit, but I was recently introduced to it, so we've got some different perspectives to bring to it.

Oh, and we'll be catching up on comics too - it's been a couple of weeks since we got to talk about the comics we're reading! So we have a LOT of comics to talk about!

Havenites! Apologies - especially for the late notice - but we will not be able to go live tonight with a new episode of Shop Talk.

But we will be back next week, and we'll have LOTS to talk about! Talk to soon - in the meantime, read more comics!!

Havenites!! For comics fans of, ahem, a certain age, we ALL read the X-Men in the '90s. It wasn't REQUIRED reading, but it may as well have been. The X-Men were just an unstoppable juggernaut (see what I did there?) of awesomeness.

Well, that was a looooooooong time ago. The X-Men have had some moments in the intervening, ahem (again), 30 years, but they have never climbed back to those lofty heights with readers.

So, as he does, Robert Kirkman - along with Joe Casey (long-time X-Men writer) - has decided to give us his own take on the X-Men in a universe of their own. And they're bringing along some superstar artists* to tell the tale too: Andy Kubert, Art Adams, and David Finch!!!

The 1st issue comes out tomorrow - and it comes out guns blazing! Check it out!!

*If you're worried about these books not coming out on time, never fear! They already have the first 18 issues in the can! Heck, one of the books you can pull in the blind bags for #1 is actually #7!!
