EMAG 30 2011
On May 2, 2011, in Operation Neptune Spear, members of the US Naval Special Warfare Development Group came calling on the Abbottabad, Pakistan, hideout of one Osama bin Laden. This operation brought a decade-long manhunt to a close, with the delivery of justice coming from an HK416 fed by a Magpul EMAG. The EMAG was the magazine of choice of NSWDG during that time period, as it predated the GEN M3 release. Although all of the equipment used on that raid has been kept under very close hold, one of the men on that mission sent us one of his EMAGs which saw action in Western Afghanistan during that same deployment.
