In this paean to bookstores, Lee says some lovely things about DoraLynn Books. It made me think about the local bookstores I haunted in my youth, like Virgil Wilhite's shop and Blue Moon in Clearwater, Attic Books and Juan's Antiques in St Pete, Tom Brasser's and Paperback Palace in Seminole, and of course Books to the Ceiling in Madeira Beach. There were so many then, and so few now.

The $1.00 sale ends tomorrow, Wednesday, May 25. I'll be around through Saturday, wrapping things up, but today and tomorrow are the last normal business days. There are still plenty of books, so come by for one last look around the store!

$1.00 BOOK SALE!
DoraLynn Books is closing after 12 years in Madeira Beach. Starting on Tuesday, May 3, all books will be priced at $1.00 each. CASH ONLY. (Will not be buying books or taking any trade-ins.) The sale runs until the end of the month -- -- or may end sooner if all the books are sold before the 31st! Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. In-store shopping only -- no shipping.
