We have donated Jams and Jellies to the Food Box in Maben, Ms as you can see it was pretty much empty. Our hope is that our donation helps families in need weather it be for their own enjoyment or to help them give a gift this holiday season. As a mom who has been in the shoes of wondering how she would feed her children before and been entirely to embarrassed to ask for help these boxes are a blessing. Y’all please look through your pantry’s and donate we work right across the street and I can assure you people are only taking what they need. We have seen kids faces light up when they find fruit loops, pop tarts, candy bars, chips etc. This little box makes such an impact on our community here in Maben. If you can only donate a 25 cent bag of chips donate it you have no idea the impact on child that 25 cent bag of chips can make. Circumstances change everyday tomorrow you may be the one in need and grateful for the love of others in this little box.

So I wanted to come address publicly the reason I have been MIA at the store.
And just as a reminder stop judging people when you truly have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. Or the mental luggage they are trying to manage. A couple of months back I found out I was a diabetic I was at 285lbs on BP meds, Cpap, and doing my best to lose weight diet & exercise and couldn’t. When I ended up passing out in church I was taken to my doctor who discovered I was a diabetic it was the best bad news I had gotten because it meant I wasn’t crazy with how I was feeling. So I began metformin & ozempic and completely changed my diet. I started feeling better but my stomach was hurting constantly so I ended up at the GI specialist in early June I had a procedure done that removed a spot it luckily came back benign but I did have a terrible stomach infection so we have been treating it. Days after this we had my sons birthday party that ended in a dispute and a stabbing between some adults. It was a very traumatic experience for myself and my kids I already take antidepressants and anxiety medications and talk to a therapist to help me through abuse that I have suffered. It brought back a lot of flash backs and I was unable to sleep or function for the first week after I have been going back to my therapist twice a week now to get my mental health back in check. And I have also taken time out to do things with my kids to ensure their mental health is ok. So when the incident took place kids were present CPS had to open up an investigation to ensure the wellbeing of the kids so I was also dealing with that for 2 weeks. I broke 2 of my teeth out and have had to have them completely removed and temporary teeth made until crowns come in and 4 days ago I ran into a wall and cracked another. My daughter also attended 2 back to back band camps that I had to get her ready for and take and bring her back from. My husband has been working 5 hours away from home since May so I’m doing house and kids while he is supporting us financially I meet him at least once every other week try to weekly though to take him food fresh clothes and his medication. And if all of the above wasn’t enough Friday at my yearly exam the Dr found a spot on my right breast it has been very tender but I’ve had so much going on I’ve ignored it. So now because I’m still having stomach pain I’ll be having to do a colonoscopy and I have to an ultrasound of my breast to see what steps we need to take next with that I have lost 35lbs in the last month (mostly stress) but luckily I have been able to keep my diabetes under control. My BP at my yearly visit was 78/53 I have been dizzy, nausea, & so tired but never gave one thought to it being low blood pressure. So they have lowered my BP medication and I am now monitoring it. So for everyone asking why I have not been open this is why I have needed to take care of me mentally and physically and I have needed to be here for my children. They will always be my #1 priority and if anyone thinks less of me because I would chose them over anything else I’m sorry. Also for one’s driving by my house and talking about the grass being tall and what not I’m trying I’m doing the best I can I still have plants I bought 2 months ago that need to be planted in my garden. I have a doctors appointment in the morning and will go pick up my medication and then plan to be at the store tomorrow afternoon working. And I will say that during this past month and a half I have really seen who cares the ones that have noticed I’m not doing my normal day to day and have called, texted, or dropped in to check on me. Y’all have no idea how much that has meant to me.
And at the end of the day I know Gods got this. He already knows the plans he has for me. And I’m putting my faith and trust in him with everything going on.
