What an amazing week at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park!!! Remembering the most important day in American History. The thunderstorm the night of April 8 reminded one of the cannon fire during the Battle of Appomattox Station. The morning of April 9, 2015 mirrored the weather conditions of April 9, 1865 with a low lying fog and cool weather. With the movements of the living historians on the battlefield, one felt transported back in time.
