Second attempt at a “Blind Date with a Book”. This one is for my neighbor. The description tag describes the type of book it is: 1960s Suburban America. Story revolves around four women - friendship, rebellion and self-discovery. The rating on Goodreads is 4.5/5 stars.

Happy New Year!!!! I hope you all enjoyed this holiday season. I made a promise to myself to get back in the craft room and use all the wonderful products I own to create beautiful projects to share with you (and not just cards).

First up is this “Blind Date with a Book”. This is my first attempt at one of these and I think it turned out pretty nice.

I used wrapping paper to cover the book and then used my metal dies for the tags and the bookmark along with an embossing folder. I backed some of the wrapping paper with carstock and then fussy cut flowers from the paper to make it easier to cut since wrapping paper is so thin. I grabbed a few treats I have in the house and stuffed them in the pockets. This book will be making its way to a good friend of mine.

I hope you enjoy this first project of 2026. I will be back next week with additional projects I’ve been working on.

It has been a very long time since I posted anything crafty so I thought I would share some of the crafty handmade items that I created for my daughter’s baby shower this past weekend along with how it all looked at the venue. (P.S. - I did not make the cookies or cake but sharing how cute they were.). Hope to be back in early 2026 with some fresh craft ideas to share.

Happy Easter Monday. It's been a long time since I've posted. I have been creating here and there, but not much. Last year I purchased the "Sweet Springtime" Paper Pumpkin kit. I made these cute little bags for my Easter place settings. Included in the bag was a bunny cookie and on the plate was the egg cookie. The cookies are delicious and made by on Instagram. I've used Doreen for a few occassions now and her cookies are excellent - if you are in my area, I highly recommend her

I recreated the front of the bag based off of a card that Seeing Inkspots, Elizabeth Price created, but instead I made a little bag out of it to hold the chocolate bunny cookie. The bag was based on a template from Kitchen Table Stamper, Marissa Alvarez.

It was fun to create again even just for a little bit. Later this week I will share another kit I created using the "Daisy Daydreams" Paper Pumpkin kit (although I am no longer a Demonstrator, I do still purchase the Paper Pumpkin kits).

Happy Sunday! Echo Park Paper has fast become one of my favorite paper lines. This line called "Love Notes" was featured in my January Creative Workshop which is now closed out, but I created three more cards using Echo Park's website samples as my inspiration - you can see them below.
