Harper’s Art I’m a lifelong quilter, started with my first doll quilt at age 4 I am an artist, and paint with acrylics, oil, watercolor, and mixed media.

I’m self-taught and didn’t start painting until about 9 years ago. I love playing with color, but couldn’t draw stick figures so thought I couldn’t put art on canvas. My first art medium was fabric… I’m a lifelong quilter and sewer... there's very little in the world I enjoy as much as sitting down with gorgeous new fabric + ugly old shirts and combining to make one-of-a-kind quilts for people to

snuggle up in. I do still make and sell quilts, but am very selective of what commissions I’ll take. My nearly 40 years of quilting (I made my first dolls quilt when I was 4!) influences my art on some pieces, and I gain inspiration from switching back and forth between the mediums of fabric and paint. The names, “Harper.s_Art”, “Harper’s Art”, "RoseTreeOriginals" and "RoseTreeQuilts” are all copyrights reserved by Andrea Harper, 2003-2022.
