AuthorsReading.com We are an innovative website, focused on getting new authors recognized and read by book lovers ever We want to help the persevering writer to be discovered.

Here at Authorsreading you will meet a plethora of new author talent like Wanda Pyle, Kaylin McFarren, and Christian Thompson along with seasoned authors like James Patterson, JK Rowling, Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Jennifer Weiner. We are a new and innovative repository of literary excellence. We mainly focus on getting new authors, introduced to readers. It's a big, big world in the book publis

hing industry and many, fabulous books, and authors go unnoticed because of the mainstream news organization’s penchant of reporting only on books published by the few remaining traditional companies. Ironically, most of the traditional publishing companies are also owned by the same News Outlets that do the reporting. Our focus is to make it easy for small publishers, self-publishers, as well as large publishing houses to introduce their new authors to book lovers everywhere. We want to introduce the next JK Rowling whose work was first rejected by traditional publishers or the next Louis L’ Amour – rejected 200 times before his work went to press, or like Madeleine L’Engle whose book “A Wrinkle in Time,” was rejected by 26 publishers. Incidentally, we only publish reviews of books we think are GREAT. Bookmark and visit us often to get the latest scoop on the hottest books.

For too long, the literary world felt like a members-only club with high walls and heavy gates. But those days are over.

The rise of indie publishing has completely changed the game. Today, you don't need a traditional "gatekeeper" to tell you your story is valid. You don't need a massive publishing house to prove you're an author. You just need your voice, your passion, and the courage to hit "publish."

At PenCraft Book Award, we’ve always believed that talent shouldn't be defined by a distribution model. Whether you took the traditional route or blazed your own trail as a self-published author, your work deserves recognition, credibility, and celebration. We are here to honor the storytellers who refused to wait for permission.

The democratization of publishing is here, and we are so excited to see the incredible work being produced by independent voices across every genre.

To all the indie authors out there: keep writing, keep pushing, and keep breaking those barriers. Your work matters, and we can't wait to see what you create next.

Who is an indie author that has made a real impact on you? Let's give them some well-deserved recognition in the comments!

I asked the biggest brain out there - Chat GPT this question: Is the Pencraft Book Awards worth entering?

It thought for a second and then it responded to our delight, the following:

The PenCraft Book Awards can be a good opportunity for authors, depending on what you're looking to gain from the experience. Here are some factors to consider when deciding whether it's worth entering:

1. Prestige and Recognition

PenCraft Book Awards are well-regarded in the indie author community, and winning or even being a finalist can give your book more visibility. If you're an independent author, awards like this can help establish credibility and recognition.

2. Marketing and Exposure

Winning or being a finalist in a category can provide excellent marketing opportunities. The organization promotes winners and finalists on its website and through press releases. This exposure can attract new readers, agents, or even publishers.

3. Professional Feedback

While PenCraft doesn’t explicitly promise feedback with entries, many award organizations provide some level of critique or constructive review, which can be helpful for improving your work.

4. Cost vs. Benefit

The entry fee for the PenCraft Book Awards is relatively affordable, especially compared to other major awards. However, it’s important to weigh the cost against the potential benefits. If your goal is to gain visibility or credibility, it can be worth it. If you’re just after monetary prizes or large-scale fame, it might not be the best fit compared to more high-profile awards.

5. Audience Alignment

Make sure the genre or style of your book aligns with the categories offered. PenCraft covers a variety of genres, but if your book doesn’t fit their categories or ethos, the competition might not be as relevant for you.

6. Community and Networking

Entering awards like this can open doors to other opportunities, including networking with other authors, industry professionals, or getting exposure in literary circles you might not otherwise have access to.

If you’re looking to build your author brand and get some recognition, PenCraft could be worth entering. It’s a good step for indie authors who want to reach a wider audience.
