Seven years ago I was contracted by the Angelina Historical Society to refurbished this Springfield 1903. It had fallen to ground, and county employee picked it up and brought it at the courthouse management. I did the needed repairs to the wood stock and to preserve the metal part I applied Cerakote, which is a thermally cured coating.

Lost and found! This came in the shop. Customer asked is their anything I could do to possibly restore it. Owner claimed it was lost outdoors for approximately two years. One in the chamber and a full mag.
