Let’s talk numbers for a second… because behind every wagging tail and happy adoption photo is a bill that has to be paid.

On average, our rescue spends around $4,500 every single month on veterinary care alone. About half of that is covered by The City of Lucedale (and we are so grateful for that support), but the other half goes toward helping animals that fall outside of city limits—animals we simply can’t turn our backs on.

That means roughly $2,000+ each month has to come from YOU—our community, our supporters, our village. ❤️

Sometimes heroes wear blue jeans and ball caps… and crawl through stacks of lumber 🛠️🐾

Huge shoutout to our friends at Jack's Home Improvement Center-Lucedale for going above and beyond today. They called us about a tiny, brand new kitten who had been abandoned by momma after likely slipping down between the shelves of wood in the store.

This sweet staff member didn’t think twice—he followed her tiny cries, crawling all over those lumber stacks until he finally found her. And thank goodness he did.

She’s safe with us now, and let me tell you… she’s a little fighter 💪
Eating like a champ, snuggled up, and already acting like she runs the place.

Mr. Robert’s found this beautiful long haired kitten outside. “Ollie” is approximately 8-9 weeks old. He has gotten it healthy, and now needs to find him a new family.
