Wanted to let everyone know that I happened to run over my phone and crushed the screen with a vehicle Monday and ended up losing my notes on my phone including my list of people who had reached out needing a piano tuned that I needed to follow up with. For existing clients I have your information stored elsewhere but for potential new business please reach out again as I have no way of contacting some of you. I learned my lesson that after being under the truck, make sure the phone doesn't slip out of your pocket....oops!
Thank you for your understanding and hope this reaches a few who maybe had reached out.

This piano is a gem I have had the privilege of restoring as a piano technician with over a decade of experience and would make an awesome addition to any home, church, school, or other venue! Comes with fully functional DamppChaser humidity control system to extend the life of the piano ($600+ value). Priced to sell! Located in Lu Verne, Iowa.

Note that the piano came to me on a grand piano caster dolly and so depending on what your needs are as a buyer I will provide either wheels included in the purchase price or can sell a dolly with it should it go to a place where it has the potential to be moved often.

For a little background on the brand, the Schiller Piano Company was established in Oregon, IL in 1893. Schiller was controlled by the famous Cable Piano Company of nearby Chicago. The Schiller brand name was sold as Cable’s “top-of-the-line” and most expensive piano brand. Schiller offered an impressive line of upright pianos, player pianos and grand pianos. Their "Super Grand" such as the one I have listed here was an extremely durable instrument and unlike any other grand piano at the time.

Was sad to hear today of the passing of one of my long time clients, Jeanette Korrect of Laurens, Iowa. I still remember the first time Jeanette called me her words to me were, "Hi this is Jeanette Korrect, I'm 87 1/2 years old, I just started taking piano lessons and I want to get my piano tuned before I die!" Fortunately for both of us, she was able to get it tuned more than once before that happened over the last 8 years. I remember her telling stories about various things and people in the community and letting me know that "it isn't gossip if everyone already knows about!."
I also recall her phone call expressing her excitement about watching me play the piano on Iowa Public Television.

This is why I do what I do. There is little fulfillment if pianos was all my job entailed as much as I enjoy the instrument. It's the people, the relationships developed and friendships built that make it all worth it. It's people like Jeanette that have kept me going this the past 10 years and cause me to want to go 10 more. I hope I have half as much excitement and s***k in life at 87 1/2 years old as she did. God be with her family and may she rest in peace.

When your wife is 39 1/2 weeks pregnant and she needs a distraction, my solution was to put her to work gluing and aligning new hammers on this 1931 Cable baby grand piano! And she did a fantastic job! This piano will be finished being rebuilt within the next couple of weeks and for sale to anyone who would like a quality rebuilt instrument for their home, church, school, or other venue!

Need to do some catching up posting the last few restoration projects I've done this year!
New strings, pins, action leather, hammers, regolded plate, wood finish touch up and soundboard cracks repaired for this 1941 Steinway Model M which went back to its home outside of Webb, Iowa.
