It's officially February!!!

Which means it's my birthday month. Yeah, I'm one of those girls.

For the next few days, I'll be sharing some of my favorite "birthday girl" makeup looks. From birthday glam to girls night out!

I'll be going live in my Facebook group (Style by Abby Nicole) to do the looks and then post the final pics here on my feed.

Are there any particular colors or styles you want me to try out? Let me know and I will add a few suggestions to my list!

Happy February first!!

Just a little reminder, mascara should be replaced every three months. I switched out my mascara on January 1st so I already have my next one ready to go when I switch again on April 1.

Mascara is a perfect location for bacteria to grow - it's dark and moist and easy for yuckies to grow. Another reason not to share mascara - I use one time use disposable wands for makeup application and I just switched out all of my mascaras in my kit this week too.

It isn't selfish to make sure you are taken care of.

We tend to do a lot for those around us. How can you take the time to make sure your needs are met today?

This can be as simple as taking a shower with your favorite music playing or going for a walk after church.

Establishing a new routine can be overwhelming. But when we take time to simplify what we are currently doing, analyzing it to see if changes should be made, and then implement what is going to best serve us - a new routine can be just what we need.

One of the biggest concerns around winter skincare is keeping moisture in. Dry skin happens so fast - especially with all the heat in the car or office, being outside, and the drastic humidity changes.

Again, don't stress yourself out about making drastic changes.

Here are a few things to try.

❄️ Avoid long, hot showers - the hot water can be harsh on skin. Limit the hot water time for both showers and washing your face.

❄️ Drink plenty of water - especially right after a shower. I like to keep my water bottle in the bathroom and drink right as I get out of the shower or bath. A shower or bath removes some moisture from your skin so replenish often and quickly!

❄️ Moisturize right after a shower or bath. Again, look at this as habit stacking. Have these routines build on each other. I keep my body cream and facial moisturizer ready to go so I can apply right as I get out of the shower. If I wait until i get dressed, I may get distracted.

These three easy habits can be adjusted for your daily routines. Does this feel doable for you?

Product Feature Friday

Pacifica has to be one of my favorite brands. The price point is perfect for just about everyone and the products are great for every skin type.

I use a variety of these products on myself every day as well as on my clients.

What product am I featuring today?

The Vegan Collagen Moisturizer with SPF. I love that this combines two skincare steps and creates that perfect barrier between skin and outside.

Plus, it doesn't have artificial fragrance so it's skin safe! I love this product and use it on every one of my clients.
