Join the City and Lovejoy and Lovejoy High School for a great opportunity for kids to learn and practice basketball skills. This event is hosted by Council Woman Rosannette Kirby, City of Lovejoy and in partnership with Lovejoy High School.

Students will be able to learn and practice the following basketball skills, while also learning about teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and more.

Dribbling, Passing Drills, Catching and Shooting, Layup's, Free Throw Shooting, and more!

The fee for this event is $15.00 per child. This will include a t-shirt, completion medal, decorative water bottle, bag, lunch, and the overall training session.

Location: Lovejoy High School
Time: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Parents and guardians must make the proper drop off and pick up arrangements for students. Students will only be released to the adult listed on their application.

Age Requirement:
9 years - 13 years old: Elementary and Middle School

This year for Black History Extravaganza we are celebrating our youths. Come and see our youths showcase their skills and talents.
Youth leadership is the practice of teens exercising authority over themselves or others. Youth leadership has been elaborated upon as a theory of youth development in which young people gain skills and knowledge necessary to lead civic engagement, education reform and community organizing activities.
Let's make it the year of our youths.
