Kentuckiana Zine Fest
Saturday June 13th 12-5PM
This will be the 5th annual Kentuckiana Zine Festival but Foxing's first! We are so excited to be participating this year with Hey Buddy!
We will also have a selection of books about zines to encourage others looking to create their own. Come by to check out all the participants and stock up on zines and inspiration.
Hey Buddy!
We have been working for quite some time with our friend Shelby Rodeffer (Finer Signs) (https://www.finersigns.com/) to bring you this little publication. Hey Buddy! is printed on a single sheet of paper with two sides of articles, fortune telling, and trivia. You can pick one up at Foxing Books, Set & Setting (https://www.setandsettingshop.com/) , Violet Moon (https://www.violetmoonlou.com/) , The Louisville Tool Library (https://www.louisvilletoollibrary.com/) , Werkhaus Barber (https://www.werkhausbarbers.com/?location=L7YZECFRWV3DS) in Beechmont, and later this week you will be able to find them at the Highlands and St. Matthew of Green District (https://gdsalads.com/locations/) . If you would like to see copies in a small business near you, would like to advertise, sponsor, or subscribe, have a poem, micro essay, or flash fiction to submit, please email us at [email protected]
Subscribers will receive one copy per issue (four times a year) sent through the mail (probably with some special goodies) for $12 a year.
Sponsors/advertisers can have their logo printed for $12 per issue; additional fees for info beyond a logo such as address, website, and hours of operation.
Special thanks to our contributors:
Mick Sullivan
Sean Matthew Leary
Dawnshaeé Reid
Lou Allen
And our featured artist: Amy Talbot
Beechmont Update
We are getting so close to welcoming Beechmont Bakeshop (https://beechmont-bakehouse-502.square.site/supportus) into the building. The kitchen buildout is progressing every day and Beechmont needs to your help to purchase the last bit of equipment and close the gap. Check out their Support Us (https://beechmont-bakehouse-502.square.site/supportus) tab on their website and make sure to visit them on Saturdays at the South End Community Market.
Next Audiobook Walk: June 20th
In order to catch up with our walks, we've decided to do another audiobook walk this month. June 20th is the day after Juneteenth so points for reading a book by a Black author, and June is also PRIDE month so double points for reading a book by a Black LGBTQIA+ author.
