A few months ago I was asked to paint a portrait of Our Lady of Miracles to go on a Festa cape for the Gustine Festa in September. Not one, but two for the upcoming queens that were sisters. I was super nervous, and so blessed to have an amazing opportunity!
On Sunday I got to see what it looked like on the cape. It was gorgeous! 😮
Not knowing how or what was going to be done with it exactly, which led to part of my anxiety. 🫣🤔
Thank you Shealyn and Kevin Soares for thinking of me to paint these for your daughters during your Presidency for Our Lady of Miracles.

Marion asked me several times to make a poster of his life accomplishments.
My thoughts were oh my…I don’t think I can execute his request. I didn’t have the confidence to take on this role for someone who has achieved so much in his life, ownes so many businesses, and has helped so many people in our community. I listen to him telling me what he wanted on his poster, and thought holy cow this is going to be a HUGE poster! lol
After many hours of drawing it out, figuring out what size this was going to be, starting over several times, and finally just saying to myself “STOP OVERTHINKING IT” I went for it!
I’m still not confident that I achieved the goal set upon me. It has taken me longer than I thought to finish this, several late nights, many long days, and a ton of paint later.
I have finally completed the poster for Marion. Thank you Marion for your patience and trust in me, it was truly an honor to be able to make this for you and be a part of your amazing history!
