I create my own designs and patterns, cut them by hand and sew them on my machines here in my studio in Los Angeles. Trained in leather on the island of Ibiza, Spain, I had a leather shop, COSAS DE CUERO-IBIZA from 1960-1981. My specialty was hand-woven belts and hard leather bags. ave been developing my custom leather accessories. For the past four years I have been working with an assistant. Leather is my love and I only use the finest hides available in the United States. I personally select all the skins, cut them from my original patterns, and then sew them in my studio. The bags vary from soft lamb to tough buffalo. They open wide, are easy to close, and have pockets, with and without zippers. All bags are leather lined; straps being suede lined for non slippage. Working directly with my clients, using shows, I develop my work, customizing to meet their needs. For the last five years, I have participated in many arts and Crafts shows in California: Malibu Fine Arts, Montrose Arts and Crafts, Harvest Festivals, Contemporary Crafts Shows, and the Rosen Buyers Market of Philadelphia. The retail price of my leather work start at $15 for a coin purse that usually matches the purse, to $800 for a large cabin bag.
