Seedy Saturday returns the morning of Saturday, August 15th with free native coffee samples a free propagation class, and free plants! That's right, join us from 9am-11am at Ascot Hills Park with our friends North East Trees and sample some of our 'secret recipe' Cleveland Sage Iced Latte (always vegan!). From 9am-11am, this free class will feature:
- Free samples of Cleveland Sage Iced Lattes and instructions on how to make at home
- Hands-on seed collecting and cleaning experience, focusing on Conejo Buckwheat (Eriogonum crocatum), San Diego Sedge (Carex spissa) and Goldenrod (Solidago californica)
- Practice moving small seedlings into larger containers
- Advice on whats soils, pot sizes and fertilizers to use with native plants
- Hands-on experience taking and prepping cuttings of Island Snapdragon (Galvezia speciosa)
All registered participants can take seed and/ or pots/soil to sow at home, and cuttings and pots to try at home as well. We can only guarantee free coffee samples and plants to registered individuals, so please register at the Artemisia Nursery Eventbrite page (link in bio). Hope to see you there!

New Online Workshop Alert!
Join us online for a free Summer Native Plant Maintenance class! The workshop will be led by our very own Antonio Sanchez (co-founder of Antonio Sanchez), who has over 20 years experience growing, installing, maintaining and sometimes destroying (not on purpose!) native gardens. Along with plenty of time for questions, the class will cover:
How and what native plants to install during the Summer
How to water newly installed and older established plants
How to calculate Summer irrigation for your own garden
How and what to prune and cut back this time of year
Design ideas and maintenance tips to make your future Summer garden even ‘better’
Intro to collecting seed from your garden
What to eat from your California native garden this time of year!
