I’ll be honest: half of the poems I write as a mom are about tearing up while watching my daughter and other kids play. The other half?

Random bits of lore from the depths of the desert, where life can be a little lawless, and people handle conflict in their own way.

The book is called “When The Body Meets A Star,” and it was inspired by my desire to capture the reality of this wild and wonderful life:

The good, and the bad.

Unlike the poems I wrote while traveling with my typewriter, these words are meant to sting with truth—not sooth with optimism.

I like to think my time trying to plant trees in one of the world’s harshest environments taught me the importance of braving the wind and the heat…

…all while having faith that one day, there will be rain.

first draft of an rpg card game based on an unfinished novel I wrote.

felt super cringe posting but this is my “toy” for this week’s assignment 🫣

“the last forest on earth” is a collaborative storytelling game you can play with your friends. the goal is to find the only forest left before the technocratic state captures you.

my hope is that people have fun playing this outside with their friends and family. the feeling i’m going for is being impressed with your party’s stories, thinking about your favorite characters later, and relaxing outside near a campfire while enthusiastically making hard choices in the game…then being surprised and unnerved by the ending 😁
