Our Gelly ascended from his little body on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The Spring Equinox. A day of rebirth and renewal. Magellan is magic and really always has been. I wonder what/who he was in past lives. Every single person who met him knew he was special. He had that je ne sais quoi. He was so loved. He was so sweet. He still is… I know he is still with us just in a different way. Which will take some getting used to, but I am grateful for.
I am so grateful for so many things. I am especially grateful to have had him in our lives for so long. Back I think in 2019 we were told he had heart disease and would live for one more year if we were lucky. In March 2023 he was in active congestive heart failure. Despite the odds, thanks to his friends we had another glorious year with him. He stayed as long as he could. We were always going to want more time. Our spirit guides, ancestors, and angels worked with us to give that to him. Truly not enough credit can be given to Dr. Chiang and the amazing team at Southpaw Vets who made it possible for us to him the best quality of life possible in his “Rockin Years” (Gelly loved Dolly Parton) He loved going there and everyone there showed him so much love and care. And snacks. Always so many snacks for Gelly.
Gelly is everywhere and always will be. Gelly also loved Taylor Swift and totally converted me. Yes, Gelly and Mommy are totally Swifties.
Gelly is my best friend. Gelly is my cat. Gelly is the breeze in my hair on the weekend. Gelly’s a relaxing thought…. Sweet like jelly. Gelly is a cat purring in my lap cause he loves me. Flexing like a feline acrobat. Me and Gelly vibe like that!
